The Hermosa Beach Sand Section generally refers to the area between The Strand and Valley Drive, extending from Herondo Street on the south end of town to approximately 35th Street on the north. While neighborhood boundaries can vary depending on who you ask, this is the area most buyers and local residents associate with the Sand Section.

Technically, portions of what many consider Hermosa Valley fall within the broader Sand Section boundaries. However, most buyers and agents use “Sand Section” to describe the highly walkable neighborhoods closest to the beach, The Strand, and downtown Hermosa Beach.
